Flybe appoints Liz McMeikan as Non-Exec Director.

Appoints Liz MFlybe has announced the appointment of Liz McMeikan as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 August 2014.

Liz is Senior Independent Director at JD Wetherspoon plc and chairs the Remuneration Committee at Unite Group plc. She is also a Non-Executive Director at Fresca Group, a £365m private business, and Chairman of the Moat Housing Association. Liz spent her early career at Colgate-Palmolive and then at Tesco, establishing Tesco Express and being appointed Stores Board Director for Change Management and Human Resources.

Liz will join the Remuneration and Nomination Committee, and chair the Remuneration Committee from September.

David Longbottom, after nearly nine years on the Board, has announced his intention to retire as a Non-Executive Director and chairman of the Remuneration Committee on August 31st this year.
