This strategic acquisition is a significant milestone for FMS. The company is set to deliver significant benefits to the contamination control industry across the UK and Ireland through expanded service capabilities and advanced cleanroom contamination control solutions.

As part of the Trescal family, FMS gains access to expanded resources, expertise and a global network, enabling the company to further elevate its solutions for cleanrooms and controlled environments. FMS’ expertise in designing, installing and maintaining environmental monitoring systems complements Trescal’s calibration and metrology services.

This acquisition reflects FMS’ aim to remain at the forefront of the contamination control industry and marks a new chapter in that journey with the advantage of Trescal’s global expertise and capabilities. As the strategic partner to FMS in Ireland, Astech (Ireland) Ltd will continue to be the direct interface for all customers, underpinning the company’s drive to support and develop the Irish market. Astech has an established and robust localised sales and customer support infrastructure that delivers contamination control solutions across Ireland. It also stands to benefit from the Trescal acquisition of FMS.

Deborah Haisman (above), Commercial Director at FMS, said: “Becoming part of the Trescal family is a transformative opportunity for FMS. We are proud of our strong reputation and the trust our customers place in us.

"Working with Trescal’s experts and calibration solutions will allow us to enhance our services, expand our reach and deliver even greater value to our customers in all contamination control sectors in the UK and Ireland.”

Karolina Lachi-Kolarova, Managing Director of Trescal in the UK, Ireland and Norway, said: “By bringing FMS into the Trescal family, we are boosting our capabilities and strengthening our commitment to serving highly regulated industries. The complementary skills and experience of the two companies is a powerful asset to our global business.”

TSI Inc. – a provider of precision measurement and particle counter instrumentation and a long-standing principal to FMS which is the sole Gold Channel Partner for the TSI range of contamination control products in the UK and Ireland – has expressed its endorsement of this acquisition.

Simon Tebb, EMEA Sales Manager for Controlled Environments at TSI, said: “FMS has consistently delivered outstanding solutions and customer service within the contamination control sector.

“We are confident that its integration with Trescal will unlock new opportunities for innovation and growth. TSI looks forward to continuing our collaboration with FMS as part of Trescal to advance contamination control technologies in the UK and Ireland.”

The FMS and Trescal collaboration will strengthen the contamination control ecosystem in the UK, Ireland and beyond by fostering innovation, skill-sharing and developing new solutions to meet the evolving needs of the industry across all market sectors. With the support of TSI and other partners, FMS is well-positioned to deliver comprehensive and compliant solutions for critical environments.
