Gerald Moor elected Master of the Company of Security Professionals
Gerald Moor (above) began his term of office on June 7 2012 following his installation lunch held at the Drapers Hall, London in the presence of The Lord Mayor of London, Alderman David Wootton, and with other Masters of the Livery companies, his peers within the security industry and Adrian Leppard, commissioner of the City of London Police.
Moor’s appointment was confirmed when he was elected to this prestigious position in April at the Security Professionals’ Company Election Court Dinner held at the Vintners’ Hall in London.
Moor is looking forward to the year and its many opportunities for the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals, particularly in this momentous London Olympics and Queen Jubilee year.
“My fellow security professionals have honoured me by allowing me to become the Master," he said. "[It is] a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity, which I am looking forward to enormously. It will be busy – we have a great deal planned and many events to attend in the next 12 months and I intend to particularly drive forward the charitable aspects of the company.
In addition, Moor will continue to work closely with The Royal Military Police, the Royal RAF Regiment, the Police and HMS Severn, with whom the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals has service affiliations.
