Over 35 employers based across the airport’s campus will be represented at the event, which will be held on the first floor of the main terminal opposite the entrance to the central search area between 10am and 4pm.

A diverse range of job opportunities are available across the airport including security, retail, facilities management, catering, ground handling and transportation. There are also a number of direct Glasgow Airport Ltd jobs available in areas of the business including engineering, finance, airfield operations and the control centre.

Recruitment teams from a diverse range of airport-based or associated partner companies including air traffic control operators NATS, ground handlers Swissport and Menzies, security specialists ICTS and catering specialists Select Service Partners (SSP) will be on hand to discuss full-time, part-time and seasonal employment opportunities.

Airlines Loganair and Jet2 will also be in attendance to recruit for a range of positions as well as special assistance providers OCS and facilities management company ABM.

Transport operators First, McGill’s and Stagecoach will also be recruiting for a large number of trainee and Public Service Vehicle (PSV) driver positions across their networks. Several of the airport’s retailers including World Duty Free and both the Celtic and Rangers stores are also taking part. Travel agent partners Barrhead Travel and Hays Travel will also be in attendance offering a range of opportunities.

In a first this year, jobseekers with sensory issues can visit the event during the planned quiet hour between 3pm and 4pm.

Ronald Leitch, Interim Chief Operating Officer of AGS Airports, which owns Glasgow Airport, said: “As we enter the new year and the aviation industry continues grow from strength to strength, we anticipate that Glasgow Airport will welcome well over 8.5-million passengers 2024.

“More than two thirds of these passengers will travel during our peak periods such as the spring and summer school holiday breaks, so the jobs fair will play a key role in ensuring we have staff in place across the many organisations that play a vital role in supporting the airport operation.

“I’ve worked at the airport for more than 23 years now and two days are never the same. There’s a real team and community spirit at Glasgow Airport and it’s a fantastic place to work, with a range of roles for many different skill sets. I would encourage those interested in a career in aviation, retail, customer services, aircraft turnaround and security to head along to the jobs fair next week to see what opportunities are available.”

Representatives from Invest in Renfrewshire and Jobcentre Plus staff will also be present to offer support and advice, while translators will also be on hand to support Polish, Romanian and Ukrainian jobseekers.

Those attending should bring with them an up-to-date CV and valid ID such as a passport or driving license. Given the security requirements involved in working at an airport, many of the roles on offer will require a full five-year checkable history.

Free parking in the airport’s multistory car park will be available on the day only to those who register in advance to attend the jobs fair and will be validated on departure. The First Bus 500 express service between Glasgow City Centre and the airport will also be free to use for those attending.

Natalie Don, MSP for Renfrewshire North and West, said: “I am delighted that Glasgow Airport is once again holding its annual jobs fair, with over 35 different employers offering more than 500 job opportunities which include a whole range of full-time, part-time and seasonal positions.

“This is an excellent opportunity for anyone seeking a new job or a change in career path. I would encourage all local residents looking for a new job to pop along to the fair and see if there is a post for you.”
