HMG Paints goes under the Made in Britain Spotlight

The Made in Britain feature explores HMG and the Manchester home of the fifth-generation family-run business that has coined the catchy phrase ‘One name that covers everything'. Not only does the showcase discuss the world of paint, it highlights the values of the business in interviews with Jonathan and Rebecca Falder whose great-grandfather founded the company in 1930.
In the third annual report into 'Buying British', 90% of respondents believed it is important to buy British Made products. Additionally, 46% believe that their purchasing habits will change post-Covid-19 and they will look to buy more British made products, the 2021 'Buying British' Survey was conducted by Made in Britain and OnePoll.
“2021 saw us working with a number of companies and customers who’ve been impacted by the pandemic and Brexit. All of our products are made right here in Manchester, and this allows us to quickly service our customers paint and coatings requirements.”
People and paint are at the heart of what HMG does. This was recognised by a number of recent awards in recognition of HMG’s support of key workers and essential services during the pandemic. HMG was recognised with awards from the British Chamber of Commerce, British Coatings Federation and Family Business United.

With HMG’s unique position as a British based coatings manufacturer, they are able to supply products quickly to customers. All products manufactured by HMG can be produced quickly with flexible batch sizes. Throughout its 90 years history HMG has also grown its colour library to over 96,000 different formulations which are available to its customers in a range of 1K and 2K paint systems.
