Icelandair launches Glasgow-Denver route
In addition, Icelandair will add new departures from Glasgow for the month of September. The additional flights will depart on Fridays in September and bring the weekly departures to four days a week: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Hjörvar Sæberg Högnason, General Manager UK and Ireland, said: "We are pleased to have so many new offerings for our Scottish customers with the service to Denver and additional September flights. The flight times from Glasgow to Denver via Iceland are short compared to flying via other airports and plus passengers can take advantage of an Iceland stopover if they choose to do so. We are also pleased to be adding Friday flights in September which will be perfect for weekend trips and add more flexibility and convenience during a popular travel month to Iceland.”
Icelandair is one of Iceland’s longest established companies, connecting the world and Iceland for over 70 years. Icelandair flies from the UK to Iceland with connecting service to Boston, Denver, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York City, Orlando, Seattle, Washington, DC, Halifax and Toronto.
Francois Bourienne, commercial director for Glasgow Airport, said: “Icelandair’s service to the magnificent city of Denver is yet more great news from one of Glasgow Airport’s longest serving airlines. I’m confident the Denver service will be extremely popular with our customers and wish the new route every success for the future.”
