Icelandair launches Glasgow-Denver route

Icelandair has launched services from Glasgow Airport to Denver, Colorado, as the newest destination for the carrier that currently serves Glasgow with flights to Iceland and connections onwards to North America.

In addition, Icelandair will add new departures from Glasgow for the month of September. The additional flights will depart on Fridays in September and bring the weekly departures to four days a week:  Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Hjörvar Sæberg Högnason, General Manager UK and Ireland, said: "We are pleased to have so many new offerings for our Scottish customers with the service to Denver and additional September flights. The flight times from Glasgow to Denver via Iceland are short compared to flying via other airports and plus passengers can take advantage of an Iceland stopover if they choose to do so. We are also pleased to be adding Friday flights in September which will be perfect for weekend trips and add more flexibility and convenience during a popular travel month to Iceland.”
