Inter-Tec Aero moves European business to Shannon

Inter-Tec Aero Ltd, which offers bespoke aerospace design, certification and analysis solutions to a broad range of aircraft platforms, has relocated its EASA DOA office from Sligo in Ireland to Shannon, as of 1st July this year.

The prime objective for the business to have an Ireland base is to ensure continuity of EASA-approved 21J design services to its customers located in Asia, Middle East, and Africa, as well as the UK and Europe, in the post-Brexit environment.

The current customer base extends to OEM’s, Tier 1’s, MRO’s and operators right across the aviation sector, including key players such as Spirit Aero Systems, Leonardo, CHC, Triumph Aviation, BAE Systems, Sloane Helicopters, and many more.

This move to the Shannon aviation hub makes perfect sense for the business in terms of offering support to Ireland’s long-established lessor and MRO community and reinforces the commitment to further develop the Inter-Tec “brand” and the EASA Part 21J DOA services on offer.

The new Shannon based business will continue to be ably supported from Inter-Tec’s long-established base at Prestwick, Scotland which has recently completed a recruitment programme to further enhance the business with a number of high calibre engineers.

Fred Gorrie, Inter-Tec Aero Managing Director said: “We are privileged to be working with CHC Ireland and look forward to building on the early engagement with the Atlantic Aviation Group and Worldwide Composites Services and the Shannon Aviation community generally.

“I would also like to thank John Drysdale, Business Development Manager at the Shannon International Aviation Services Centre, and his team, for their tremendous help and advice during the relocation process and for making us feel truly welcome in the Shannon aviation community.

“This strategically important new European base will be a catalyst to drive the next phase of Inter-Tec’s development.”
