Jet2.com wins award for Best Short Haul Airline

Leisure airline Jet2.com is celebrating after being crowned for the second year running, Best Short Haul Airline at the coveted Globe Travel Awards 2013.

The annual Globe Travel Awards are regarded as the pinnacle of the travel industry calendar with travel agents and industry professionals nominating and voting for the most deserving travel companies across eight different categories. The cream of the British travel industry gathered at Grosvenor House hotel in London for the ceremony where Jet2.com proudly beat Air France/KLM, British Airways, easyJet, and Lufthansa to win the Short Haul Airline category.

The Globe Travel Award will be added to a trophy cabinet that’s become considerably bigger over the past year. In 2012, Jet2.com also won Best Airline for Groups at the 2012 Group Travel Awards and Best Holiday/Charter Airline at the Scottish Passenger Agents Association (SPAA) Awards. Jet2holidays joined the celebrations by scooping two SPAA accolades: Best Short Haul Mainstream Tour Operator and Best Agent Friendly Website.
