A nationwide roadshow will support a huge recruitment drive to fill these positions:

The success of our award-winning business is down to the hard work of our fantastic colleagues and we are looking forward to meeting passionate people to join our expanding team.”

The announcement comes as Jet2 continue to grow in Summer 2019, with over 12 million seats available, a 12% capacity increase. Its Summer 19 programme will see it launch three brand new destinations (Bourgas in Bulgaria, Izmir in Turkey and Chania in Crete).

To support this growth and they are looking to recruit for 100 Flight Deck personnel (experienced pilots), 1,000 Cabin Crew and more than 1,000 Ground Operations positions in the UK alone.

On top of these UK roles, there are more than 1,000 positions available across Europe with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays. Of these, 500 positions are in Ground Operations roles in Spain and Portugal, with Customer Helpers, Ramp Agents and Dispatchers required to work as part of a team of Customer Helpers (of which 450 required) in airports such as Palma (Majorca), Alicante, Malaga and Faro.

This massive recruitment drive which will see the creation of 150 jobs at Glasgow Airport. To support this drive, Jet2 is hosting a recruitment roadshow at the Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport on Wednesday 12th September, giving job seekers the opportunity to meet with Jet2.com colleagues and find out all about the roles.

After its biggest ever programme of flights and holidays this summer, the company will increase capacity at Glasgow Airport by more than 10% in Summer 2019, offering over 950,000 seats. This programme will see Jet2.com and Jet2holidays launch two brand new destinations from Glasgow Airport - Bourgas in Bulgaria and Izmir in Turkey.

Francois Bourienne, Chief Commercial Officer at AGS Airports Ltd, owners of Glasgow Airport, said: “Jet2.com’s decision to create 150 jobs is fantastic news and follows the airline’s recent announcement to base an additional Boeing 737-800 aircraft here at Glasgow Airport.

“The move not only strengthens our position as Jet2.com’s largest Scottish base with seven aircraft, but this significant recruitment drive is also a welcome boost for the region’s economy and provides job-seekers with an amazing opportunity to join one of the UK’s fastest growing airlines.”
