Jonathan Lee Recruitment launches new website as it celebrates 40th anniversary

Engineering and manufacturing recruitment specialist, Jonathan Lee Recruitment, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and will be marking the occasion with a number of events throughout 2018 including the launch of a new website today (jonlee.co.uk), a rebrand and a gala luncheon later in the year.

Established in 1978 by the current chairman, Jonathan Lee (above) the vision for the company was to establish long-term partnerships with clients in order to fully understand their business and its needs.

“Whilst this might seem obvious, that was not the standard practice at the time,” said Jonathan. “Coming from an engineering background I knew how crucial it was to fully comprehend not only the businesses I was working with, but how the engineering industry functioned as a whole.”

Jonathan started his career as an apprentice at GKN, inspired by his father who was an engineer and ran his own firm. “I’d been surrounded by the industry my whole life and realised that there was a need for a recruitment consultancy that understood both the core tenets of good recruitment and the manufacturing and engineering world.”

The founding principles of the company were devised and clearly set out at its inception and have stayed intact across the last four decades. Building strong relationships with both clients and candidates, Jonathan Lee Recruitment focuses on getting it right first time for clients and providing ‘solutions through understanding’ – which came to be the company’s tagline.

Headquartered in Stourbridge with offices in Basildon and Dubai, and design offices in Hatton, Jonathan Lee Recruitment has experienced steady growth over the last forty years. Now with a total of 100 staff, the company has one of the lowest staff turnovers in the recruitment industry with nearly 40% of employees having been with Jonathan Lee Recruitment for five years or more, and 5% having served more than twenty years.

The celebrations will begin with the launch of its brand new website, designed to improve the customer journey for its candidates, clients and contractors. Shaped with the user in mind, the site offers a more visually engaging and interactive experience, making it easier than ever before for candidates to locate suitable jobs.
“The new website is just one of the ways that we wanted to mark our anniversary whilst evolving our offering to make it as relevant and user-friendly as ever,” concluded Jonathan.
