In addition to this, Mari Tuomela, Kromek’s Head of Sales (EMEA & APAC), will be leading a delegation to the CBRNe Summit Europe at the Mercure Budapest Castle Hill, Budapest, Hungary between 11th-13th March.

At this event, Kromek will be partnered with one of its key distributors, ProdataKFT and will exhibit its range of hand-held detectors. The newest D5 RIID with the additional probe for detecting Alpha and Beta isotopes will make its European debut. The D3 variants of detectors will also be on display. They are being used in Ukraine and are included in the RescEU citizen safeguarding programme. The devices’ small form factor, endurance, resilience and networked capability are already proving to be essential in this complex security environment.

Meanwhile in Kromek’s second home market, the United States of America, John Filby, Head of Sales (US), will be representing the company at the Defense Strategies Institute Joint Civil & DoD CBRN Symposium on 13th-14th March in Washington DC. He will demonstrate the full range of handheld and static detectors to the US military and civilian audience.

That same week, Kromek advisor Dr Alex Walmsley will be attending WM Symposia 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona, where the worldwide management of radioactive materials is discussed.

Kromek’s Commercial Director Craig Duff said: “Attending these international events, in three different countries, shows that Kromek has a broad approach to the global market and its range of products, to meet multiple threat issues and has a receptive audience amongst CBRN professionals.

"We can also see the commonality between international military and security forces as they work together to counter the risk of radiological incidents. Kromek’s devices’ many different configurations provide the most modern, cost effective and easily used radiation detection capability.”
