Kuehne + Nagel now operating at Heathrow's South Cargo Centre

Logistics specialist Kuehne + Nagel has now started operations at Heathrow's largest space for warehousing and offices.

Heathrow South Cargo Centre is a dedicated UK Airfreight Hub adjacent to the Heathrow cargo area. With Security certifications including TAPA, Regulated Agent, ETSF, it will support import, export and general operations, alongside Kuehne + Nagel's dedicated customer solutions.

The 130,000 sq. ft. unit is on an estate located directly on the A30, to the east of Heathrow’s perimeter road. The A30 provides access to the M25 (junction 13) and the nearby A312 access to junction three of the M4, approximately 1.5 miles to the north.

The entire warehouse is temperature controlled and monitored at 15-25°C with a dedicated 2-8°C area supported with all regulatory requirements including MHRA and GXP certifications. This state of the art facility provides increased capacity for further expansion to meet market developments and changing client requirements.

This major investment for Kuehne + Nagel serves to demonstrate the company's commitment to the UK Airfreight market.

The relocation from company's previous site in Uxbridge to the new Heathrow facility, considerably reduces Kuehne + Nagel's Co2 footprint, making both the company's and its clients' operations more efficient and environmentally friendly.

In addition to the KN PharmaChain operation, the KN FreshChain service offers extensive knowledge of cargo temperature requirements, global expertise in climatic variations, and access to a wide range of value-added services.
