UK scientists and companies are at the heart of the pioneering Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer (SMILE) mission – launched into orbit today – that will transform our understanding of how Earth is protected from the Sun.
UK hydrogen fuel cell manufacturer, Intelligent Energy (IE), has joined the Hydrogen in Aviation Alliance (HIA), which brings together companies from across aerospace, including Airbus, Bristol Airport, easyJet, GKN Aerospace and Rolls-Royce, to help align the technology, infrastructure and regulation needed to make commercial hydrogen flight an everyday reality.
