Lockheed Martin to integrate F-35 ops with QE Class carriers

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is being awarded a $49,999,799 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract (N00019-02-C-3002) for operational and engineering support required to integrate the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter operations with the Queen Elizabeth Class carrier for the UK Government.

The work itself will be performed by BAE Systems in Samlesbury, in the United Kingdom (64%), Fort Worth, Texas (26%) and Orlando, Florida (10%).

The work is expected to be completed in December 2017.

International partner funds in the amount of $10,832,900 are being obligated on this award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
