MPs and aerospace apprentices to launch UKAY-RoC 2014

The UK Aerospace Youth Rocketry Challenge is the largest model rocket showcase in the UK and sees teams of Britain’s brightest young scientists design, build and launch their own rockets.
The 2014 competition will be bigger and better than ever before, encouraging more young people to consider the opportunities open to them in careers in science and engineering.
This Westminster launch event will see MPs assemble and launch an air pressure powered rocket as far as possible with the assistance of apprentices specialising in the sector.
The event takes place during the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills’ Tomorrow’s Engineers Week, which highlights the many opportunities available in engineering.
