Nasmyth appoints Nav Sandhu Head of Programme and Project Management

Nasmyth Group have announced that Nav Sandhu has been appointed as Head of Programme and Project Management, effective immediately.

Based at Nasmyth Group’s UK Head Office in Coventry, Mr Nav Sandhu (above) will form part of the Group’s Management Team.

Establishing long-term programme and project management systems, Nav will lead in introducing these foundations across the entire Nasmyth Group.

Commenting on the appointment of Nav Sandhu, Peter Smith, Nasmyth Group’s CEO said: “We have grown considerably over the last 16 years and we are now providing complete systems and engineering solutions for our customers as well as our other core business capabilities.

"Nav’s experience will give us the opportunity to bring on board professional programme and project management and implement process and change control across the Nasmyth businesses.”

Nav Sandhu added: “I am delighted to be joining the Nasmyth Group at this exciting time in its growth.

"Having spent a large part of my career in Programme Management and Operations, I am looking forward to sharing knowledge and directly contributing to the continued success of the business.”

The Royal Navy’s latest Astute Class submarine has been officially named at BAE Systems’ Submarines site in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. Agamemnon - named after the ancient Greek king - is the sixth of seven Astute submarines being built by the Company. She is due to be launched later this year, ahead of being commissioned into the Royal Navy.
