NPAS featured in BBC phone theft documentary

The National Police Air Service (NPAS) has been featured in the BBC documentary On the Front Line: Fighting the Phone Snatchers, now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

The programme follows Metropolitan Police operations tackling organised crime gangs responsible for mobile phone theft across London. It highlights a range of tactics including undercover deployments, targeted raids and aerial support from NPAS.

Filming took place at the end of July, with BBC reporter Jessica Ure joining the NPAS crew at Lippitts Hill to capture their role in supporting the wider operation. 

The crew appear on camera between 11:09 and 13:30, offering insight into how NPAS contributes to fast-paced urban policing and evidence gathering from the air.
