ODU introduces AMC NP for military and security applications

ODU has developed its AMC NP connector for military and security applications, enabling easy-handling and a solid break-away design, to provide integrated solutions for cable mounting and improved field comms performance.

The ODU AMC NP is part of the ODU Advanced Military Connector range of high-performance, quick-disconnect miniature connectors, that are in-use worldwide. 

It is designed as a salient solution for tactical battery packs, PDU‘s (Power Distribution Units), CWB (Conformable Wearable Batteries) and C4ISR peripherals for the transmission of USB 2.0 signals and power, which is compatible with open architecture standards such as NATO STANAG 4695, USA Nett Warrior and European GOSSRA (Generic Open Soldier System Reference Architecture).

Designed and manufactured to meet military standards, this cost-effective connector is ideal for military and security applications, giving easy-handling with a robust break-away design and integrated solutions for cable mounting. 

The ODU AMC NP improves communication performance for soldiers in the field and is tested to MIL-STD-810H and applicable technical requirements.

In shell size 6, it offers two contact layouts (6 or 7 pin), up to 7.5amp power with choice of  solder, crimp or PCB connections and is suitable for USB 2.0 transmission. It can withstand at least 2,000 mating cycles, is waterproof to a depth of 20m for 2 hours, meeting IP68 protection rating.
