ODU Connectors will be exhibiting at DVD2026 next month, being held 16th & 17th September 2026, with the focus of this edition of the biennial defence industry event being centred around the theme, Connected for Combat – Aligning people, systems and decisions.

Complementing this theme, ODU has an established legacy in soldier communications and enabling secure connections with their Advanced Military Connector (AMC), specifically developed for this market, which is a field-proven range now being comprehensively extended to offer connectors for all military equipment.

How variants can fit the same receptacle to save space

Three locking variants of plug – push-pull, break-away or screw-lock – can fit the same receptacle, giving space-envelope savings over comparable density MIL-DTL-38999M.

In-vehicle OEM’s are now able to fit the same bulkhead fitting across all equipment, leaving the locking preference to the plug-in equipment.

Additional resilience to achieve higher data rates

The ODU AMC Series T Expanded Beam Connector is designed to combine the advantages of a classic expanded beam – such as insensitivity to dirt and scratches – with the high-performance attenuation of a physical contact (< 0.3 dB).

Ensuring high power connector compatibility

ODU’s AMC NP is compatible with NATO STANAG 4695, Nett Warrior and GOSSRA. It provides quick disconnect, robust break-away and high-performance delivery. With a minimum of 2,000 mating cycles, it has improved power contacts with USB 2.0 capability. With IP68 20m / 120mins specification, it is suitable for apps such as PDU‘s, CWB’s and C4ISR peripherals.

Why challenging environments may require bespoke solutions

In addition to supplying a range of connectors, ODU has a complete support system, comprising cable, over-moulding, watertight-potting and metalwork (that can be shipped to line), plus various tailored support solutions. If an end user has an extremely challenging situation to deal with, there is the flexible option of bringing it to ODU and together working a way out of it, with a connector solution that is specifically designed to be fit-for-purpose and delivered where and when required.
