Panoptech's Clarity ups Bristol Airport's ops efficiency

Panoptech have been selected by Bristol Airport to supply their latest incident management software tool, Clarity Command Tasking, which is being implemented in Bristol's new state of the art Control Room Suite, to provide increased operational awareness and effectiveness across the airport.

The aim of the project is to combine and simplify a number of legacy event logging, database and communications systems into one effective, seamless, future proof software package.

Panoptechs Clarity Command Tasking product is an incident management module taken from the Clarity situation awareness software suite, which already has already been proven in effectively executing and handling event and task management processes, either on a day to day basis or in supporting a major incident.

Clarity Command Tasking provides Bristol Airport’s Operations Team with the capability to use free-form or pre-populated templates to manage, create and log, events, tasks and resulting actions. A clear, real-time dashboard provides operators and managers with an immediate understanding of the situation, assisting in critical and effective decision making.

The software facilitates communication through a variety of media including a web based interface, email, VOIP and SMS, enabling Bristol Airport staff involved with an event to be kept informed and provide real-time, on the ground input.

Chris Ware, head of Security for Bristol Airport commented: “Clarity Command Tasking will enable a much smoother and efficient management of critical events and tasks that we have to manage within the airport on a day to day basis. The increased capability also means we can effectively communicate with relevant airport staff involved in managing these events, in real time, ensuring the right coordination and appropriate actions are taken.”
