Commenting on the contract extension, Doug Umbers, Managing Director of Serco’s UK defence business, said: “Serco is delighted to have the opportunity to continue to support the RAF at Brize for another two years. Our team at the airfield works closely with the RAF in a Whole Force Approach, and the contract allows the release of invaluable RAF personnel back to front line duties. Our team has been at Brize for over 25 years and has an intimate understanding of the critical role that the base plays for the UK Armed Forces, and will continue to make a positive impact on its future.”
