The academy's programmes are delivered by a team of global space experts, each with decades of experience. Training is offered at Serco’s advanced European facilities, located in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK, just a few metres away from key European Space Agency operation centres. The academy is open to participants from around the world, and Serco has already welcomed its first successful graduate from the Middle East, who completed the programme in August 2024.

Commenting on the launch, Roberto Mulatti, Serco’s Space Managing Director for Europe, said: "At Serco, we are committed to shaping the future of the space industry by developing the next generation of space professionals. With the launch of the Serco’s Space Academy, we are creating a world-class training hub that draws on our expertise and operational history in the space sector."
