Space-Comm Expo to boost commercial space development

The UK's largest exhibition focused on the future of space for business, defence and aerospace, Space-Comm Expo, will further boost a global commercial space industry that is already growing exponentially, with over 130 innovators from around the world coming to share future-focused insights at Farnborough on 7th-8th September 2022.

Hot on the heels of the Farnborough International Airshow, Space-Comm Expo will be accelerating the conversation on the future of the commercial space sector at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, UK, with a star-studded speaker programme and expo.

BAE Systems join other pioneering organisations, including Airbus, CGI, Cornwall Space Cluster, Raytheon UK, Rolls-Royce, Space Florida, PWC and Czech Republic Aerospace in unveiling their latest strategies and showcasing their technology and innovations during the two-day expo and conference.

On exhibiting at Space-Comm Expo, Elizabeth Seward, Head of Strategy – Space, BAE Systems, said: “BAE Systems has been innovating in space for over 25 years. We enhance our customers’ digital advantage through the delivery of data and intelligence from diverse sources in space and on Earth.

“Through In-Space Missions, we have the ability to design, build and launch satellites as a sovereign capability. Our ambition is to build a more diverse UK space industry alongside the development of resilient platform agnostic systems whilst enriching our strength through partnerships.

“We recognise that space is more than just the new high ground, it is the pan-global domain that enables integration across air, land, sea and cyberspace. At Space-Comm Expo, we will be showcasing our space activities, connecting with customers and partners and unveiling our space strategy in public for the first time.”

Rob Sherwood, Managing Director of Hub Exhibitions, commented: “The commercial space industry is growing at an exponential rate. To put that into perspective, satellite consultancy Euroconsult recently shared that there will be 17,000 satellites launched over the next 10 years, a fourfold increase over the previous 10 years. Therefore Space-Comm Expo has been curated to represent the entire supply chain, from cloud data sharing and satellites to manufacturing and mining. Our exhibitors are true game changers across the sector and I’m excited to welcome them to the second instalment of Space-Comm Expo.
