STREIT launches Defence and Emergency training
In what STREIT Group describes as a ‘total protection’ approach, the company is urging customers to ensure they know how to gain the maximum benefit from using armoured vehicles. There are more than 120 specialised Defence and Emergency courses on offer in STREIT Group’s programme and each can be tailored to meet the customer’s specific requirements.
Already tried and tested on the African continent, they will be delivered by trainers with a strong background in the relevant military and police techniques.
“Our first priority is to save lives, and to do that we have to be sure that protection technology is used as effectively as possible,” says STREIT Group Chief Executive Guerman Goutorov. “The driving methods, defensive strategies and other skills we teach will help organisations to adapt more quickly in response to the region’s rapidly evolving security challenges. Whether the threat comes from militant militias, terrorists or any other source of conflict, we can provide the skill sets - as well as the vehicles - to give you the very best defence force.”
While driving courses have proved to be particularly popular, STREIT’s comprehensive training programme also includes expert training on varied topics as riot control, close protection, maritime security, medical treatment, rescue work and dealing with explosives. In addition, a module for mechanics is provided so that the vehicles’ availability, reliability and safety is never compromised by mechanical failure or poor performance.
The worldwide response to STREIT’s planned training programme has been encouraging, with more than 2,000 Ministry of Interior (MoI) and Ministry of Defence (MoD) personnel already booked onto courses due to be run in the next six months alone.
