TEC has record year for training courses
The delegates came from many primes and their supply chains including; GE Aviation, UTC Aerospace Systems, Darchem, Meggitt, Lufthansa, B/E Aerospace, Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, Babcock, Agusta Westland, UTAS Marston Aerospace, Cytec and Thomson Aero.
TEC delivered courses on; AATT (Aerospace Auditor Transition Training); AS9100 foundation; IRCA – Approved Lead Auditor; Internal Auditor; and Core Tools i.e. Advanced Product Quality Planning, Root Cause Corrective Action/Disciplined Problem Solving, Measurement Systems Analysis/Evaluation, Risk Management & FMEA and EN9102A – First Article Inspection Report. The courses were a mix of company-specific and public.
Steve Kerr, Group Regional Quality manager at Meggitt, said: “Meggitt have been using TEC for many consulting and training assignments for many years. You have worked with our sites all over the globe, including those in the UK, and EU, and our dealings with you throughout have always been first rate. Projects we worked on are widespread and include AS9100 Auditor Training, AS9100 implementation and SC21 training to name but a few.
“Feedback from our many personnel is always positive and complimentary, and has helped drive in improvement in our many locations. I would have no hesitation in recommending your team.”
Carl Newham, quality engineer at Preci-Spark, said: “TEC’s master trainer took time to develop the theory of MSA from scratch. This made what could have been complex statistics understandable to all of us.
“We were able to work through several case studies to see how results can be analysed numerically and more importantly graphically displayed.”
Stan Pryor, an independent AS9100 auditor who attended two courses, said: “I found the course to be extremely helpful and increased my awareness on process based auditing.
“AATT has benefited my career and enabled me to visit companies I would not have traditionally visited in my job. I have undertaken over 100 third-party certification assessments in a number of countries, predominantly in the UK but have completed several audits in America, Ireland, Germany, France, Poland, Czech Republic and Malta.”
Charlene Daly, quality engineer of RLC Group, who also attended the lead auditor training, said: “It was a brilliant course, quite intensive over such a short period but I can already see it having a positive benefit on my company.”
Dr David Scrimshire, managing director of TEC, said: “As the aerospace industry grows, companies are increasingly recognising the need for properly qualified staff with the right mix of skills. That’s why 2013 was a record year for TEC. We are continuing to provide a wide range of aerospace and quality courses for engineering clients throughout Europe.”
