Teledyne CML Composites launches apprenticeship scheme
In cooperation with the Maritime Engineering College North West, the scheme will see candidates coached in all aspects of composite manufacturing from material properties, design engineering, production methods, customer support and applications of composite parts in industry sectors such as aerospace, defence and automotive/motorsport.
Upon completion of the three year apprenticeship scheme, the successful candidates will attain an NVQ Level 3 extended diploma in Composite Manufacturing Engineering.
“Recent success in securing a number of long term contracts has highlighted a need to put in place a resource to train skilled engineers to help us continue the plans we have to make Teledyne CML Composites a global supplier. The apprenticeship scheme will provide us with skilled engineers to take on new projects, but also give our current customers comfort that we have plans in place to secure long term continuity of supply", said John Toner, General Manager.
