TPS appoints Peter Hurry as head of security and M&E services
Formerly of Buro Happold and Kroll Associates, Peter Hurry (above) has an MSc in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management and is a Fellow of the Security Institute.
His extensive experience also includes a 29 year career in the Military where he carried out a significant number of important counter terrorism roles. He becomes Head of Security, Explosion Effects, and M&E Group, TPS.
The security arm of TPS offers a wide range of services including security systems design, risk management, blast engineering and counter terrorism advice, design for the built environment and critical national infrastructure.
The TPS team of experts, headed by Peter Hurry, work directly with client security and facilities managers, or as part of multi-disciplined design teams engaged on new build or refurbishment projects.
Hurry will also oversee TPS’s comprehensive mechanical and electrical engineering division which also offers a number of specialisms in refrigeration systems, fuel storage and handling, aviation systems, blast and shock protection and nuclear, biological and chemical protection. TPS' engineering specialists advise clients on all aspects of these systems, giving them the confidence that they have taken reasonable precautions to ensure their operations satisfy legal requirements and environmental best practice and that they will continue to do so in a cost effective manner.
