US Congressman Steve Knight tours Meggitt Control Systems facilities in Simi Valley

United States Congressman Steve Knight, representing Californias 25th district, visited and toured the Meggitt Control Systems facilities in Simi Valley on July 31.

For the newly elected Congressman, who sits on the House Armed Services Committee, it was the first visit to the location which also serves as the U.S. headquarters for parent company, London-based Meggitt PLC. The Congressman also serves in the House committees for Space Science and Technology and Small Business.

"Businesses like Meggitt Control Systems, and their many suppliers, represent the backbone of our economy. They employ our neighbors and create excellent products that help millions of Americans," said Congressman Knight. "I appreciate their commitment to our community and thank them for taking the time to show me their Simi Valley facility."

The 272,000-sq.-ft., three-building Meggitt campus employs some 550 people and represents approximately $200 million in annual revenue. It houses the divisions executive team and functional leadership for engineering, administration, manufacturing, and sales and marketing as well as its production operations.

"We are very proud to be a longstanding member of the areas business community," said Meggitt Control Systems General Manager Jim Healy. "It continues to provide the resources we require to maintain our leadership position in the industries we serve."
