Vector Aerospace employees receive AMT '40 Under 40' awards
Now in its second year, the AMT Next Gen program celebrates forty aircraft maintenance professionals less than 40 years of age who demonstrate the talent, ambition and characteristics of the next-generation aircraft maintenance professional. These forty individuals are selected from hundreds of nominations, based on their initiative, job commitment and contribution to the industry.
Robert Bertram, Director of Technical Services and Operations at Vector’s Engine Services - Atlantic (ESA) division in Summerside, PE, Canada, began his 15-year career with Vector in 2001, after gaining his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University. Since that time, he has worked closely with three of ESA’s main products, the Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) JT15D, PT6A and PW100, being appointed to his current role in 2013.
“Robert is characteristic of the homegrown talent that has made Vector’s Summerside facility the success story it has become,” said Jeff Poirier, President of Vector Aerospace Engine Services - Atlantic. “By pursuing a career path with Vector that has encompassed both technical and customer service disciplines, Robert has played an active role in ensuring that the MRO support we provide to operators worldwide lives up to our goal of setting the standard of customer service.”
Christophe Luce, Mobile Repair Team (MRT) Technical Manager at Vector Aerospace - France (VAF) in Gonesse, began his 21-year career with Vector in 1995 as an apprentice engine technician. After earning his Bac Pro aéronautique degree in aviation maintenance, Christophe went on to serve with the turboprop test team in Gonesse, supporting the site’s high-volume PT6A and PW100 operations. Christophe would also travel the world supporting Vector’s customers as a member of VAF’s MRT team, ultimately being appointed as MRT Technical Manager in 2015.
