Logiq launches DISX Isolate for high-assurance defence operations
Logiq has launched DISX Isolate, a standalone enterprise environment designed to support defence, government and regulated organisations working above OFFICIAL.
The Bristol-based cyber security company said the new service has been developed for programmes where internet connectivity is deliberately restricted by design. These environments are used by organisations that need to create, process and exchange sensitive information while maintaining tight control over data movement, access and operational evidence.
The launch expands Logiq’s DISX secure workspace portfolio, which has been developed to support organisations operating across different security and assurance requirements.
Secure workspace for operations above OFFICIAL
DISX Isolate is designed for organisations that need an isolated working environment without relying on the connected services used in conventional enterprise IT.
The service provides a hardened enterprise environment built around controlled separation, structured data movement and governed operational processes. It supports secure document creation, enterprise services and policy-controlled import and export activity within a deliberately air-gapped architecture.

James Walker, chief technology officer at Logiq, said: “DISX Isolate builds on the experience Logiq has developed over many years designing and delivering standalone environments for organisations operating in some of the UK’s most security-conscious settings.
“It formalises that capability as a dedicated offering, bringing together the controls, operational processes and architectural flexibility required where separation from connected services is fundamental to the mission.”
Controlled data movement for sensitive programmes
Logiq said DISX Isolate includes the core capabilities needed to make standalone operation sustainable over time, including identity and policy services, file services, monitoring, logging, backup and vulnerability scanning.
Updates and patches are introduced through a controlled update server model rather than direct internet exposure, helping organisations maintain operational currency while preserving isolation.
Where data needs to enter or leave the environment, the service supports structured import and export processes that can be integrated with assured media scanning solutions. Files can be sanitised, verified and logged before release, supporting audit and governance requirements.
DISX Isolate can be configured for different deployment requirements, including virtual desktop infrastructure using thin or zero clients, secured laptops or desktops, resilient infrastructure models and tightly scoped single-user deployments.
Walker added that the launch also clarifies the role of different DISX deployment models, with DISX Isolate supporting programmes operating above OFFICIAL and DISX Secure Collaboration providing a connected environment for organisations that need secure collaboration with governance and assurance.
Founded in 2018, Logiq is an NCSC-assured cyber security consultancy supporting defence, government and regulated organisations. The company, also an ADS member, is headquartered in Bristol.
