The MOU provides the following guidance:

  • ADS, Space Florida and Enterprise Florida will coordinate on mutually relevant issues and commercial activities, where all parties may provide consistent messaging to UK/US governments on the need for Export Control Reform that removes unnecessary obstacles from such ventures
  • All parties will work to maximise attendance at each other’s industry events
  • All parties will agree upon conditions for financing special cooperative activities
  • Each party will leverage their relationships to maximize business development potential for the other in their own markets.

Graham Chisnall MD AeroSpace and Operations for ADS said: “I welcome the signing of the MoU as it provides an excellent opportunity for developing greater collaboration with, and access to, the Florida space market for UK companies and ADS members.”

Frank DiBello Space Florida President said: “We look forward to working with ADS to maximise industry growth potential in both the Florida and UK markets.”

Space Florida signed an MOU last year with UKTI (UK Trade & Investment Group) that resulted in the recent announcement of funding for UK-based Cella Energy to collocate hydrogen R&D facilities at the Kennedy Space Centre (KSC). The MOU with ADS will facilitate further partnerships with UK-based aerospace companies.
