ADS appoints Andy Williams Director of ADS Scotland

ADS, the trade association for the aerospace, defence, security and space industries, has announced the appointment of Andy Williams as Scotland Director.

Andy Williams (above) joins ADS with significant experience as a public affairs and policy professional, spanning influential manufacturing trade associations, leading public affairs consultancies and the UK’s largest business representative body. He brings deep insight into UK and Scottish political engagement and stakeholder management to support ADS’s work in championing the sector.

In his new position, Andy will work closely with Jon Gray, ADS Chief of Staff and Managing Director of Regions, and Stuart Gallacher, Chair of the ADS Scotland Council, to strengthen ADS’ Scottish engagement and support for more than 160 ADS Scotland member companies.

Jon Gray, Chief of Staff & MD Regions at ADS said: “We are delighted to welcome Andy as the new Director of ADS Scotland. His experience and leadership will be invaluable as we aim to strengthen our engagement across Scotland and build our Edinburgh-based team to ensure the industry receives the support it needs to grow and thrive.”

Andy succeeds Warrick Malcolm, who served as the Director of ADS Scotland for more than twenty years. ADS would like to thank Warrick for his commitment and contribution to the development of Scotland’s thriving aerospace, defence, security and space sectors.
