AerFin launches V2500 engine support capability

AerFin has announced the launch of its V2500 engine support capability, expanding its engine MRO offering and reinforcing its position in the global aviation aftermarket.

AerFin is now approved by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to perform light maintenance activities on the V2500 engine platform. This capability strengthens AerFin’s ability to deliver trusted, compliant maintenance and inspection services to customers worldwide.

This capability is delivered from AerFin’s engine facility at Indurent Park, where dedicated shop capacity supports V2500 inspections and light maintenance activity. This gives customers direct access to responsive, in-house support, reducing reliance on constrained third-party shop availability.

It enables AerFin to support both operators and lessors across a range of critical activities, including end-of-lease inspections, pre-buy checks, C checks and storage and preservation solutions. These services are designed to help customers manage transitions more effectively, protect asset value and maintain operational readiness.

Indurent Park, AerFin’s 116,000 sq. ft. headquarters, which opened in January 2025, features 26 engine bays. This expanded facility doubled their previous engine MRO capacity to support up to 200 quick-turn engine shop visits annually

The V2500 engine remains a core component of the Airbus A320 family and continues to play a critical role in narrow body operations worldwide. As more of these engines enter heavier maintenance cycles, operators are under increasing pressure to maintain availability while managing cost and complexity.

AerFin’s newly secured V2500 capability is designed to meet that demand with practical, responsive support. Services include borescope inspections, C checks, LRU replacements and full visual inspections, giving customers clearer insight into asset condition and greater control over maintenance planning.

Simon Bayliss, Chief Operating Officer at AerFin, said: “Securing V2500 accreditation is an important step for AerFin and for our customers. This is a platform that continues to underpin global narrowbody operations, and the need for reliable, timely support has never been greater.

"We’re focused on delivering exactly that - practical capability that helps operators make informed decisions, maintain availability and protect asset value. This is about giving our customers confidence in a demanding environment.”

The introduction of V2500 support forms part of AerFin’s broader, integrated approach across engines, material supply, teardown and asset optimisation. It also builds on AerFin’s established Engine MRO Lite capabilities, which already support multiple platforms across the narrowbody market. By connecting these capabilities, AerFin enables customers to respond effectively to shifting maintenance demands and operational pressures.

Asim Chalise, VP MRO Sales at AerFin, added: “What matters here is access to the right insight at the right time. With V2500 engines moving into heavier checks, understanding condition early and acting quickly can make a real difference.

“Our capability allows us to assess, advise and intervene where needed - whether that’s through inspection, targeted replacements or ongoing maintenance support. It’s about helping customers stay ahead of issues and keep their fleets moving.”

The addition of V2500 capability builds on AerFin’s established MRO Lite support for CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B engines, all supported through AerFin’s facility at Indurent Park. Together, this creates a more complete maintenance offering across the A320 and B737 aircraft families, positioning AerFin as a single partner for narrowbody engine support. Further approvals are already in progress.
