AirBorn establishes new International HQ and manufacturing facility in Kent

At the end of last month AirBorn - provider of interconnect solutions - cut the ribbon on the new International HQ and manufacturing facility it has established in Tonbridge, Kent.

The opening ceremony (above) was performed by the Mayor of Tonbridge and Mr Rees Ward, CEO of ADS.

From humble beginnings in 1999 AirBorn opened an International office headed up by Mr Bill Pitchford working out of a small room in his home near Swindon.  Alan Jones joined Bill in 2000 to assist with supporting the UK market while Bill concentrated on overseas markets.

May 2000 saw AirBorn open the doors on a small independent office in Cirencester and by September 2003 AirBorn was on the move again this time to Edenbridge to be close to Heathrow and Gatwick airports to support its global customers.

Business and employees continued growing and by 2011 AirBorn had to look for bigger premises that would house both its manufacturing arm in Chatham and customer services office in Edenbridge.

These new premises were found in Tonbridge Kent and on 24 July 2012 AirBorn opened the doors for business in its new facilities. Today AirBorn is a $18 million dollar company employing 25 people manufacturing and supplying high quality connectors and interconnect solutions for harsh environments as far away as China.

AirBorn would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all its customers who have made them a truly global company.
