ASG Aerospace appoints Greg Bagwell CB CBE as Executive Chairman

ASG Aerospace has appointed Air Marshal (retd) Greg Bagwell CB CBE as Executive Chairman, who has over three decades of operational leadership in the Royal Air Force and extensive experience across the aerospace and defence sectors.

Greg Bagwell (above) served for 36 years in the Royal Air Force, retiring in 2016 as Deputy Commander RAF with overall responsibility for operations. For the first 20 years of his career he flew operationally as a combat pilot, logging extensive hours on the Tornado GR1/4 and the CF-18 Hornet.

Since leaving the RAF, Greg has built a distinguished portfolio career across the aerospace and defence industry. He has held senior roles at Cobham plc, AirTanker Ltd and Ultra Electronics Ltd and served as an Executive Director on the Board of Cobham Ltd following its transition to private ownership. He has been a non-Executive Member of the NATS (National Air Traffic Services) Board since 2022.

Greg is President of the UK Air and Space Power Association, a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) and a Distinguished Fellow of the Royal United Service Institute (RUSI). He chairs senior programmes at the Windsor Leadership Trust and serves as a trustee of Flying for Freedom, a charity that enables wounded, injured and sick service personnel to fly solo in microlights.
