Belgium-UK industry links to be explored at FIA2024

At next week's Farnborough International Airshow (FIA2024), events - including one co-hosted by ADS and BAE Systems - will explore the links between Belgian aerospace & defence companies and UK industry.

Belgium’s Flanders Investment & Trade, in conjunction with Wallonia Export & Investment Agency hosts a set of Belgium’s aerospace companies, specialised in the production of critical components for aircraft and spacecraft, helicopters, flight simulators, engines, avionics, landing gears and other parts and components at Farnborough International.
 
Flanders Investment & Trade is the official lead organiser of the Belgium Pavilion at the 2024 edition of Farnborough International, with the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency co-hosting the Belgian Industry Day and the Belgian Beer networking mixer 24th July, as well as at the Belgium-UK Matchmaking event on 25th July.
 
ADS, representing well over 1,300 members from the UK’s innovative, entrepreneurial and prosperous aerospace, defiance, security, and space sectors – and BAE Systems co-host the Belgium-UK Aerospace & Defence Industry matchmaking event on Thursday 25th July, at the BAE Systems Stand, Hall 5, from 09:00am – 11:00am.

Our own companies hold important positions in the aerospace industry through an innovative and leading-edge pool of SMEs specialised in composite materials, software simulation, additive manufacturing, high-tech critical parts, advanced materials, electrical systems and more.”

The Wallonia Export & Investment Agency is hosting the following European aerospace & defence companies: Safran Aero Boosters, SONACA, Feronyl, Coexpair, Mecasoft, BeCover, Mockel Precision and Sensy Load Cells.
 
On 9th July, Ariane 6 completed its first flight, launching from the Guiana space centre. A success for the European space sector and for ArianeGroup, the lead contractor of the Ariane 6 programme (a joint venture between Safran and Airbus).
 
Flanders Investment & Trade is hosting the following European aerospace & defence companies, BMT Aerospace, UL Power, Euramec, Compolam, Frisomat, SABCA (Limburg), ASCO Industries (Montana Aerospace), Sol.One, Scioteq, Celestia Antwerp, Barco Control Rooms, CERcuits, Hexagon Belgium (Luciad) and VKI (Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics).
