CAA appoints Crispin Orr appointed as non-executive director

The UK Civil Aviation Authority has today confirmed the appointment of Crispin Orr as a new non-executive director to its Board.

Crispin Orr brings more than 25 years of experience in aviation safety, most recently in his role as Chief Inspector of Air Accidents at the Air Accidents Investigation Branch. The appointment supports the Civil Aviation Authority’s commitment to the highest standards of safety and public protection in UK aviation and aerospace.

Sir Stephen Hillier, Chair of the UK Civil Aviation Authority, said: “Crispin brings valuable experience and insight on safety matters to our Board at an important time for the aerospace sector. 

“We look forward to working with him, as we continue to deliver our mission to protect people and enable aerospace.”
