Cobham to provide UKMFTS contract extension

Cobham Special Mission (Cobham) has signed an extension to its existing contract with Ascent Flight Training Limited for the delivery of rear crew training to the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force as part of the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS).

Cobham has successfully delivered rear crew training support for Ascent, supporting four Beechcraft 350 Avenger Mk1 aircraft based at the Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose, since 2009. This contract extension, which will commence in July 2016, is valued at £16 million and will run for a further four years until 2020 with Ascent having an option for a further one year extension.
