Cross Manufacturing to expand AS9100 accreditation

To meet demands from industry, Cross Manufacturing is looking to expand AS9100 accreditation to all three of its manufacturing plants, increasing its capacity for the design and production of precision engineered high temperature metallic sealing rings, retaining rings, brush seals and machined components for aerospace and defence applications.

Cross Manufacturing is also focussed on the ethical basis of its operations, with CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) compliance being a key part of the company strategy. The company holds ISO14001 and ISO50001 environmental and energy management approvals, with further developments in certification planned for 2026 and beyond.

Cross Manufacturing Director Peter Crudgington commented: “We have always adapted our company’s resources to suit many varied requirements and with the current shortage of manufacturing capacity in the aerospace and defence sectors it was logical for us to increase our capabilities to support our customers’ needs now and for the future. It’s simply part of our holistic approach to continuous improvement.”
