David Cameron visits Kelvin Hughes

Designer and supplier of navigation and surveillance systems, Kelvin Hughes, today welcomed British Prime Minister David Cameron to its head office in Enfield.

Addressing a large group of Kelvin Hughes employees assembled in the production area of their HQ and manufacturing facility, David Cameron gave a 30 minute campaign speech in which one of his themes was the importance of apprenticeships to the UK economy.

In 2014, Kelvin Hughes launched its Apprenticeship Academy, an initiative that built on the company’s sustained record of recruiting apprentices since the 1980s. A number of the most senior staff, including CEO Russell Gould, joined Kelvin Hughes in apprenticeship positions.
