Eurofighter opens Amateur Photography Competition 2015

The 2015 Eurofighter Typhoon Amateur Photography Competition - inviting amateur photographers worldwide to show their creativity - is now open.

Eurofighter PR & Communications has launched this year’s contest, introducing a new category for: ‘The Best Digitally Enhanced Photograph’. As in the past years there will be a ‘Panel’s Choice’ prize for photographers under the age of 16.

The winners in the categories Best Amateur Photograph and Best Digital Enhanced Amateur Photograph showing the Eurofighter Typhoon will be offered a personal tour around the Eurofighter Typhoon, and the opportunity to see how the aircraft is assembled in the Final Assembly Facility in Germany.

Geoffrey Lee, one of the top Aviation photographers worldwide, and leading judge of the Competition, said: “We expect to attract a high level of interest with images of the Eurofighter Typhoon sent to us from all over the world by keen and skilled amateur photographers. This competition is the perfect platform to prove that amateur photography can indeed be extraordinary.”

The competition continues to be a huge success capturing the imagination of the judges and highlighting the multiple angles and aspects of the Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft. Last year’s winning image (above) taken by Mara Angelosante showed the Eurofighter on full reheat in azure blue skies at the Royal International Air Tattoo in Fairford, UK. Mara’s amazing photograph was featured in many Eurofighter publications and starred on the front cover of this year’s official Eurofighter Typhoon calendar.

Photography should be sent no later than 25th September 2015 to:
communications@eurofighter.com .
Entries bigger than 5 MB, should be sent via dropbox or a similar application (e.g. We Transfer: www.wetransfer.com ).
