Lincolnshire based strategic consultancy EWS Ltd. has confirmed a number of key leadership appointments that will maximise team talent and strengthen its global position going forwards.

Four leaders named within key strategic business units
Dave Ruddock is now Chief Technology Officer and will be instrumental in delivering a strategic approach to technology delivery and entrepreneurial activity to a portfolio of key customers, who each have very differing objectives and outcome requirements. Dave was previously the Technical Director for EWS and his experience in this role will allow him to now engage with our senior partners to build a vision for business development and find opportunities to increase client confidence in our organisational abilities.

Paul Crawley is now Head of Operations and will be developing and maintaining EWS’s operational strategy, including the finance, people and legal processes required to help achieve the company’s mission and vision. Previously Operations Manager, Paul will now be regularly evaluating the efficiency of day-to-day business procedures and ensuring service delivery and implementation.

Angela Penketh-Robins is now Business Manager by providing efficient business support to the MD and key internal stakeholders to help them achieve their strategies and meet their objectives. Previously Business Support Manager, Angela will be focusing on helping the company meet its growth and prosperity goals.

Richard Canale is now Bids and Proposals Manager with responsibility for the development, quality assurance, and tracking of high-quality Bid Management Plans and proposals in the sales pipeline to ensure EWS achieves its company business development goals. Previously EW & ECM Training Facilitator, Richie will be ensuring the timely delivery of winning written proposals for identified business opportunities.

Key appointments augment senior management team
These key leadership appointments are in addition to the announcements made earlier this month of Richard (Eddie) Edwards joining EWS as Managing Director and Jon Gower stepping up to become Chief Executive of the company.

Despite the global pandemic, strategic consultancy EWS Ltd. based in Long Bennington, Lincolnshire performed beyond expectations in 2020 and is already making great strides towards delivering even bigger results in 2021.

As a result of this growth and increasing global opportunities, the company appointed Richard (Eddie) Edwards as their Managing Director to help drive the success of the business to even higher heights in 2021. Eddie will be responsible for delivering a highly focused three-year strategic plan for the business while contributing significantly to its continued success.

The appointment of Eddie as Managing Director allows the current MD Jon Gower to step up to become the Chief Executive of EWS.

As a Cyber, Intelligence and Security Business Development professional, Eddie has firmly established his credentials throughout the UK Defence and Security customer community, including the Electronic Warfare, C-IED and Crypto environments. This commercial experience, combined with a successful operational military career serving within the Royal Corps of Signals, means he is highly proficient in developing and executing key corporate strategies and is ideally placed to lead the EWS Management Team.

Eddie said: “I am genuinely excited by the opportunity to join a unique company like EWS and, as Managing Director, to have a key role to play in helping them continue to grow and deliver on their promises to their partners and clients.”

Jon has been the Managing Director of EWS since its founding in 2009. His successful 22-year military career culminated as a Captain in the British Army but it is his subsequent commercial experience that has been pivotal to the growth of the company. EWS is now relied upon by governments, defence, national and domestic security, justice and partners with corporate entities to deliver unique insights, consultancy support and operationally resilient solutions to their exceptionally complex problems.

“I am extremely confident to leave the day-to-day management of EWS in Eddie’s capable hands,” says Jon, “and I know he will be supported by our highly experienced Management Team in his efforts.

“As the Chief Executive I can now focus my efforts on facilitating key business opportunities and developing global corporate partnerships for EWS which will help us deliver our strategic long-term vision for the company.”

Jon said: “EWS is going from strength to strength and both strategic partners and clients alike can expect to experience significant benefits in the future from the changes we are making.

“Our Business Streams have been refocused with new Management Team appointments from within the company, which will help us all focus on delivering our clear vision and defined objectives for the future. These are exciting times for EWS and I can’t wait to see what Eddie and everyone within the company will be achieving over the next few years.”

Eddie said: “These talented people are bringing exceptional experience to these new roles and I believe our strategic partners, key clients, team members and the business as a whole will greatly benefit from these appointments. We have some exciting global opportunities on the near horizon for EWS and our newly appointed team members will have a key role to play in helping us maximise and deliver on these.”
