Farnborough Airport's Aviator Hampshire named UK's second best hotel

Aviator Hampshire, the strikingly-designed 169-room luxury hotel owned and operated by Farnborough Airport, has been named as the second-best UK hotel in TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best Hotel Awards.

The news follows a series of successes for Farnborough Airport, where it was voted Europe’s number one FBO in the 2024 Professional Pilot PRASE Survey and it also retained its number one position in the Aviation International News (AIN) FBO Survey 2024, for the best FBO within Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. This follows Farnborough Airport’s announcement in November last year where it won FBO of the Year at the Air Charter Association (ACA) Excellence Awards, which marked the ninth occasion that the Airport has been awarded this coveted title and its third year in a row.

Completed in 2008, the Aviator Hampshire was designed to complement Farnborough Airport’s own infrastructure and iconic architecture. Both are at the centre of a dynamic and fast-growing aerospace cluster, making the Borough of Rushmoor one of the fastest growing economic regions in the country, supporting over 3,000 jobs and generating £200 million within the local economy every year. The Aviator Hampshire plays an intrinsic role in supporting the Airport and the aerospace cluster with high quality hotel accommodation, fine dining and hospitality and state-of-the-art meeting and event spaces.

Simon Geere, CEO at Farnborough Airport, commented: “We are incredibly proud of our hotel and our people that work there. With these awards, it is extremely satisfying that Farnborough Airport and its hotel are recognised operating at such high standards. We want to continue on this journey by putting Farnborough on the map for being a location where businesses can truly thrive and succeed.”

Commenting on the award win, Adam Skrzypczak, GM at Aviator hotel said: “We’re delighted to have been voted as the second-best UK hotel by TripAdvisor. Aviator’s success is inherently linked with the Airport’s achievements, reflecting our shared commitment to excellence and demonstrating that our ownership by Farnborough Airport creates incredible synergy.”

The TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards celebrate the highest level of excellence in travel and are awarded to those who receive a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the TripAdvisor community over a 12-month period. Out of TripAdvisor’s eight million listings, fewer than 1% achieve this milestone.
