Howco targets aerospace growth with plans for further site accreditations

Howco Group plans to secure aerospace accreditation for further sites across its network as it expands its presence in the aerospace and space sectors.

The materials and engineering specialist, whose established markets include oil and gas and energy, said aerospace represents a growth opportunity following its achievement of AS9100D accreditation and participation in Farnborough International Airshow.

The company expects additional sites to gain aerospace accreditation before the next show in July 2028, extending the range of materials and services it can offer the sector.

Aerospace materials and processing capabilities

At Farnborough, Howco showcased its nickel alloys, superalloys, stainless steels and other specialist materials, alongside inventory management, machining, heat treatment, testing and additive manufacturing capabilities.

The company is seeking to apply its experience supplying demanding industrial markets to aerospace, where material traceability, quality control and repeatable processing are critical.

Jane Savage, regional director for Europe at Howco, said the event had provided an opportunity to discuss those capabilities directly with potential customers.

“Aerospace is very much a growth area for us, and after gaining our AS 9100D accreditation, this was another strong step forward,” she said.

Howco has confirmed it will exhibit at Farnborough again in 2028. Its appearance followed the US team’s participation in Space Tech Expo in California, supporting a wider push into aerospace and space.

The company said its existing oil and gas business remains central to its operations, with aerospace providing an additional market for its materials and engineering expertise.

Howco operates across ten locations in six countries, supplying and processing high-performance alloys for industries including energy, chemicals and aerospace.
