Ian Stopps CBE appointed Chairman of Raytheon UK

Ian Stopps (above) is the former chief executive of Lockheed Martin UK, serving in that role from 1999-2009. His earlier roles included president of Lockheed Martin’s Western Europe Region, general manager GE Aerospace – Europe, and general manager of Dynamic Products at BF Goodrich based in the United States. Earlier experience was also with GE, where he held responsibilities across a wide product and services portfolio.
He is chairman of The McLean Partnership, an executive search, consultancy and interim management company. Mr. Stopps is also chairman of the Advisory Board for the School of Business and Economics at Loughborough University, and is a member of the Advisory Board of British American Business, having served as its chairman for two years previously. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society as well as a former council member of ADS, RUSI, and UKCeB.

Raytheon UK is a subsidiary of Raytheon Company. It is a prime contractor and major supplier to the UK Ministry of Defence and has developed strong capabilities in mission systems integration in defence, national security and commercial markets. Raytheon UK also designs, develops and manufactures a range of high-technology electronic systems and software at its facilities in Harlow, Glenrothes, Uxbridge, Waddington and Broughton.
