The overlap of services between IBA and STS creates a unique and powerful offering for the aviation sector, benefiting customers, partners and employees of both companies.

The partnership is strategically focused on specific areas where the technical and advisory capabilities of IBA and STS complement one another. Rather than a broad service integration, the agreement establishes a structured approach to cooperation on defined technical functions, including engine borescope inspections, CAMO and Part 21 services, enhanced by aircraft valuations and aviation data.

In addition to reviewing existing projects and workflows, relevant future customer programmes will be offered on an integrated basis to deliver maximum benefit. This will directly contribute to IBA and STS’s continued ability to provide optimum support and 'best-in-class' services to their respective clients.

Gerry Gualtieri, CEO of IBA Group, said: “We welcome this working partnership between our companies. By bringing together STS’ specialist technical expertise with IBA’s leadership in aviation data, valuations and asset management, we are creating a focused and integrated approach to delivering our clients’ aircraft and engine programmes. Aircraft management projects are generally complex, and this partnership will provide optimal, comprehensive solutions for IBA and STS’s clients both now and in the future.”

Ben Whelan, Founder and CEO of STS, said: “This is another very exciting and significant milestone for STS. Harnessing the combined resources and suite of complementary services of IBA and STS presents a fantastic solution for our combined customer base. IBA is a leader in its field and there is much room for combined synergies, efficiencies, innovation, shared learning and true collaboration. Onwards and upwards.”

IBA’s 35-year history of providing aviation data, asset management, advisory and consulting services (including appraisals and remarketing) has become further established in recent years. IBA maintains a strong presence in North America and Asia, building on its established success in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

STS has developed into a trusted global aviation technical services partner, building a solid reputation for delivering best-in-class solutions to the world’s leading lessors, airlines and MROs. STS’ suite of services includes CAMO, Part 21 Design, POA, aircraft transitions, aircraft records hub, inspections, materials, lease data management, asset management and engine borescope services. STS is headquartered in Shannon, Ireland, with offices in Malta and Singapore.
