IBA Airlines Pro is an advanced platform for analysing airline financials, fleets, traffic performance and risk. Built to support financiers, lessors and wider aviation stakeholders, it provides critical insights into airline credit quality and operational performance.

Speaking about the recent enhancements, Nick Stafford, IBA’s Product Development and Digital Transformation Director, said: “Our latest Airlines Pro enhancements are the result of close collaboration with clients and our ongoing investment in delivering market-leading aviation intelligence.”

“From ESG transparency to operational efficiency, these new features represent a step forward in how our users monitor and manage airline risk and performance – delivering faster decision-making and deeper analytics.”

Key Features of the IBA Airlines Pro Update:

New IBA Airlines API Unlocks Workflow Integration
The newly released IBA Airlines API provides users access to airline financials and risk scoring, enabling seamless integration into proprietary systems and workflows. This supports more automated analysis, particularly for financial institutions and lessors.

ESG Scores for 90+ Airlines
IBA has released ESG scores for over 90 airlines, providing a new level of transparency into sustainability performance across the global airline sector. The 2023 dataset marks the first comprehensive release, with 2024 scores to follow as verified disclosures are finalised.

The scoring method goes beyond basic emissions metrics such as CO₂ per Available Seat Kilometre (ASK) by incorporating load factor-adjusted carbon intensity (CO₂ per RTK), the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), noise performance and wider environmental data. This ensures a more accurate and meaningful benchmark for ESG-conscious stakeholders conducting sustainability assessments.

IMPACT and CO₂ per RTK Dashboards Now in IBA Airlines Pro
Users can now access the IMPACT and CO₂ per Revenue Tonne Kilometre (RTK) dashboards directly within IBA Airlines Pro. These dashboards enable comparison of carbon efficiency across carriers and are designed to support ESG analysis, due diligence, and regulatory reporting.

Reengineered Alerting System
IBA has overhauled its alerting functionality to integrate real-time notifications into the application. Instead of static email alerts, users can now click through to live, populated dashboards within the system, enabling faster response times and more integrated workflows.

Flight Alerts Within the Main Application
Flight alerts are now available within the platform, through the Insight mobile application, and via email. This enhancement enables lessors, investors and banks to effectively monitor whether leased aircraft are being ‘discriminated against’ by comparing their utilisation to that of aircraft of the same type in the same fleet. Users can also define ‘prohibited countries’ and receive alerts if any aircraft in their portfolio land in these restricted locations.

Airline Risk Scores Embedded into IBA Fleets Asset Reports
For users of both the Airlines Pro and Fleets modules, IBA now incorporates airline risk scores directly into aircraft asset reports. This integration allows users to assess asset exposure based on the financial and operational risk profile of the operating airline.

Smarter Navigation and Interactive Airline Tree View
Platform navigation has significantly improved. When users select an airline in IBA Fleets, the same operator will be pre-selected if they move across to Airlines Pro, supporting quicker research and cross-functional analysis. Additionally, a new interactive airline tree structure reduces the time it takes to locate and review airlines of interest.

These enhancements mark the latest milestone in IBA’s comprehensive product development roadmap, directly shaped by client feedback and closely aligned with the evolving demands of the aviation industry.
