Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO) and Executive ESG Sponsor at IFS, Sal Laher, commented: “I am proud that we are taking the lead in not only raising the bar on our own efforts to become a more sustainable business, but that in doing so we are able to provide a platform that celebrates our customers' innovations and successes.” Laher added: “It is the combination of all our efforts across industries and across the globe that will make the impact we need. Giving all of our customers the recognition they deserve is one way to generate momentum and inspire others to join the sustainability effort.”

IFS Sustainability Ambassador Lewis Pugh further added: “IFS has shown great leadership in creating a platform that showcases and celebrates sustainable initiatives. These awards reflect companies, both big and small, that have taken meaningful action to address the challenges posed by the climate crisis. We hope others are inspired to make similar changes. The time for inaction has long passed. We must all wake up each day and ask ourselves, what new actions can we take to save our planet?”

IFS board member Jacqueline de Rojas added: “Companies have realised that they don't have to go it alone, and that smart partnering is a really good way to begin this journey towards building a better world. Many companies are often daunted by taking the first step but actually, partnering up helps to accelerate their journey towards making real and tangible differences.”

Microsoft Sustainability Director Michelle Lancaster commented: “The initiatives we have judged are hugely creative in their use of multiple technologies and engagement of their communities. They aim to build businesses that have an impact - reducing waste whilst providing an income and hence developing local economies.”
