IMechE visits Hutchinson Engineering

Thirty engineers from the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) were recently given an exclusive insight into Hutchinson Engineering's technical operations at its base in Kilrea, Northern Ireland.


 
The mechanical engineers were given a first hand insight into the operations of the family run engineering firm, Hutchinson Engineering, as they opened their doors on the 22nd March to a select group of individuals. Attendees were given an exclusive tour of their expansive premises and Managing Director, Mark Hutchinson delivered a company presentation offering a further insight into the company’s capabilities.

Headquartered in central London, IMechE is an independent engineering society representing mechanical engineers. With over 111,000 members in 140 countries, working across industries including; railway, automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, energy, biomedical and construction, IMechE is licensed by the Engineering Council to assess candidates for inclusion on its Register of Chartered Engineers.
 
Mark Hutchinson remarked: “It was a pleasure to invite members of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers to Hutchinson Engineering, some attendees travelled internationally to be here, which reflects very well on the Northern Irish manufacturing industry and its position worldwide.

Having this type of visit not only underlines our standing as one of the leading sub contract laser and metal fabrication companies in Northern Ireland but it helps us communicate our capabilities to respected industry figures.
