The facility will include adaptable pilot lines, which offer end-to-end capability through all the steps involved in ceramics and advanced ceramics manufacturing  and Lucideon clients can also draw on the expertise of the company’s on-site technicians, scientists and engineers, under a consultancy approach.

Richard Goodhead (above), Lucideon’s Chief Marketing Officer, said: “The AMRICC Centre is a landmark project and Lucideon is proud to be a key part of it.

“From our new base, we will be able to offer a world-class partnership to clients who are looking to take innovative ideas and place them on the fast-track into commercialisation, by reducing the time to market through a unique blend of knowledge, equipment and expertise.

“The centre is purpose-built to support early prototyping and development trials, the development of new manufacturing processes, small scale trials of standard processes, and the production of trial batches.

“This includes developing new materials or products quicker, in better quality, at lower cost, as well as enhancing manufacturing processes or developing new manufacturing methods to make improvements in productivity and performance more economically and efficiently.

“It’s a compelling offer for our clients, who will benefit from our unrivalled expertise in utilising these world-leading facilities to bring their products to market more rapidly and economically, and at the same time underpin sustainability and Net Zero goals into projects.”

Lucideon is a development and commercialisation organisation (DCO), specialising in materials technology, processes and testing. In addition to a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers and commercial analysts, it has testing and characterisation laboratories, a combination of pilot and feasibility plant and equipment and a management and certification division. It has offices and approved laboratories in Staffordshire and Cambridge in the UK and New York State and North and South Carolina in the USA.
